It`s enough to say: Myrtos Beach, Kefalonia, Greece

Kefalonia is one of the least crowded Greek islands, as tourists tend to prefer Corfu (Kerkyra) in the Ionian Sea, and Santorini (Thera) and Patmos in the Aegean.

Moving west from the main beach, there is an appropriate place for camping, while to the east there is a beach with big pebbles and trees that offer shade to bathers.

How to get there:

Kefalonia is a one-hour flight from Athens, or, more economically, three hours by bus from Athens to Pátra (the Peloponnese capital) followed by another three hours by ferry to the Sámi harbour on the island’s east side.

From Athens bus to Argostoli then bus to Divarata. 8hrs 37min - 31 €. From Athens bus to Patras, ferry to Sami, then taxi to Myrtos Beach. 7hrs 07min - around 50 €
