Highlander Velebit-104 km long hiking competition

Highlander Velebit is an 104 km long hiking competition to be finished in 5 days with trails that go through two national parks, Paklenica and Northern Velebit, Croatia (Europe)

The competition takes place from Septembre, 9th to 14th, 2017.

Entry fee includes organization of the race, HGSS call duty, medical staff, three hot meals and a drink on every checkpoint, transportation of participants to the Start from Senj to Zavižan, pass for NP Northern Velebit and Paklenica, transport of the bag to the finish line, Highlander Velebit medal 2017.



Every contestant carries obliged equipment.
Obliged equipment:
-tent, waterproof wing or a hammock*
-sleeping bag
-sleeping mattress
-camp cooker that uses gas, gasoline or alcohol*
-warm clothes (long waterproof pants, wind/waterproof jacket)
-map of Velebit & compass
-trash bag
-First aid kit (bandage, adhesive tape, band-aid)*

*can be shared between attendiees that will finish the race in a span no longer than 60 minutes
All obliged equipment will be checked at the Start, before the beginning of the race.
Participant with lack of equipment will be punished with 6 hours per piece of equipment at the Finish.

Organiser provides:
-transportation from Senj to Zavižan*
-transport of one bag (60 L/20 kg) from Zavižan to Paklenica
-transport of bag with food (9L/3kg) from Zavižan to Baške Oštarije
-pass for NP Northern Velebit and Paklenica
-3 hot meals
-Highlander Velebit medal

*You can come to the Start line in Zavižan in your private arrangement.
